The date of her birth is March 29th, 1985 in Roswell in New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza was her birth name. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American citizenship. Since she was a child, she's been very attracted to sports. Gerina began playing golf after she was 15 years old. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School. While she was in high school, she won her first prize in the New Mexico state golf tournament. As a volleyball player, she was also a participant in state tournaments. She enrolled in the University of Texas, Texas, for the 2003 academic year. Her senior year was a success. she was a winner in every tournament she took part in. Through her college professional career, she took home an award for Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year Award and UTEP Female Athlete of the Year.
